About Toomas Kokovkin photography

I am based in Estonia, where my home is on the island of Hiiumaa, which is in the Baltic sea. From here I travel all over the world.

I hold a PhD in geography, and have been involved in many programs covering the relationship between people and nature. Recently photographed thoughout Europe, mostly in rural and coastal areas, the topics which often depict daily lives of people in their environments. Last years edited and published several books, e.g. with organisations like WWF International and UNESCO.
